Getting started

From sign-up to your first trade

Create an Account

You choose either an email address or a mobile phone number. The password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Enter the verification code

A six-digit verification code arrives. You have to enter it within 5 minutes, and once it passes you have to request a new one.

Identity verification

To trade you have to complete ID document and face verification as well. Review takes up to 24 hours.

Deposit and trade

After sending coins in, you place orders on the spot or futures screen. The minimum spot order amount is 5 USDT.

A referral code can be entered only at sign-up and cannot be changed after the account is created. If you go through the button on this site, the code is filled in automatically.

Verification

How far you verify and what that opens

Verification has three levels. Each level opens up different functions, so how far you need to go depends on what you want to do.

Tier What you pay What it opens
Level 0 Nothing submitted yet You cannot withdraw.
Level 1 Basic details such as country and date of birth You can deposit, withdraw up to 0.5 BTC per day, and buy and sell cryptocurrency. Trading functions are not open yet.
Level 2 ID photo and face verification All functions, including spot and futures, are opened.
  • For Korea, all three types of ID are accepted You can use a passport, a resident registration card or a driver's license, whichever you have.
  • The country and date of birth you submit once cannot be changed The country and date of birth you enter at Level 1 cannot be corrected after submission, and they must match the ID document you submit for Level 2. Check them when you first enter them.
  • You start on a computer and move to your phone To do Level 2 on the web, you have to scan the QR code on screen with the app. The QR code expires after a while, so it is better to install the app first.
  • Two official documents explain it differently The beginner guide says you can trade without verification, and the verification guide says trading requires Level 2. What is certain is that verification is required for withdrawals, so if you plan to trade as well, it is safer to complete Level 2.
Deposits and withdrawals

Rules for putting money in and taking it out

Deposits are free

The exchange does not charge a fee for sending coins in. As an exception, though, a fee applies if the coin you send is a type whose quantity is reduced with each transfer.

Withdrawal fees are not a fixed amount

The exchange adjusts it from time to time depending on how congested the network is. For the current figure, pick the coin and the network in the official deposit and withdrawal fee table. A number pinned down on this site would soon be out of date.

Pick the wrong network and you lose the coins

Even for the same USDT there are several routes, such as Ethereum, Tron, BSC, Solana, and Arbitrum. If the sending and the receiving network differ, the coins are gone. Do not look only at the address; check that the network name matches.

Transfers between wallets are free

Moving funds from the spot wallet to the futures wallet costs nothing and is processed immediately. To use futures or TradFi, you first have to move funds into the futures wallet.

App and API

On your phone, and through a program

iPhone

Get WOO X Pro: Buy & Sell Crypto from the App Store. The face check in identity verification (KYC) works only in the app, so you need the app even if you signed up on a computer.

Android

The Google Play address given on the official site did not open when we checked. Download the APK file that the exchange also provides from the official download page. That page also shows a checksum value for confirming that the file has not been altered.

Open API

You place orders over REST and receive market data over WebSocket. One account can create up to 10 keys, and a newly created key is read-only by default. To trade as well, you have to enable that permission separately.

The key is shown only once

The Secret Key appears on screen only once, right after you create it. If you do not copy it down then, you cannot see it again and have to delete it and create a new one. If you specify the IP addresses that may connect, the key is hard for anyone else to use even if it leaks.

The app and customer support use the same six languages: English, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Simplified Chinese. A language that is not on the list cannot be selected.

In detail

The places where sign-up gets stuck

  • Three items cannot be changed, and they are entered on two separate screens The referral code is taken only on the sign-up screen. Once the account is created it cannot be changed afterwards. Country and date of birth are entered later, at Level 1, and these too cannot be corrected once submitted and must match the ID you will submit at Level 2. Since they are entered on different screens, you cannot take care of them all in one sitting. Check first whether you came in through a referral link, and on the Level 1 screen keep your ID open beside you as you type.
  • This page states a waiting time in two places One is the verification code, which has to be entered within 5 minutes; the other is the identity review, which takes up to 24 hours. So minutes and days are mixed into a single flow. If you plan to use a feature today that needs the ID and face check, work these 24 hours into your plan first. But it says only "up to", and how long it usually takes is not on this page.
  • Make the password exactly eight characters and you are left with four free positions Two rules overlap: at least 8 characters, and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol. If you settle on eight, four positions go first to filling the four types, and only four are left. Make it a little longer from the start and there is no such tussle.
  • Choose the level by what you are going to do, not by what you can submit Read the table backwards and it comes to this. If you have any thought at all of withdrawing, Level 0 is not an option, because withdrawals are blocked entirely. If you need only deposits and withdrawals within 0.5 BTC a day, the basic information of Level 1 is enough; to open spot and futures, the ID photo and face verification of Level 2 are needed.
  • How the 0.5 BTC limit is measured in other coins is not written down This limit is set in BTC quantity, not in money. So how withdrawing USDT is converted into 0.5 BTC, and at what point the price is measured, is not on this page. Because the limit is set by quantity, on a day when BTC is cheap the amount of money you can withdraw under the same limit shrinks with it. If the amount you want to withdraw is on the large side, check the current limit on the official screens first.
  • One cell that says you can buy and sell but cannot trade The Level 1 cell says you can buy and sell cryptocurrency, and immediately after that says the trading features are not yet open. Where the two statements part ways is not explained on this page. This page has already noted that even the official documents contradict each other at this point. So if you intend to use the order screen, finishing Level 2 first saves you a wasted trip.
  • Free deposits come with one line of exception This page says the exchange does not charge a deposit fee, while adding the caveat that a fee applies as an exception if the coin you send is the kind whose quantity shrinks with every transfer. With such a coin the amount sent and the amount that arrives can differ. And the minimum you can deposit is nowhere on this page. The 5 USDT that appears here is not a floor for deposits but the minimum order size on spot, so do not mix the two figures.
  • How to recover coins sent to the wrong place is not on this page This page says only that if the sending and receiving networks differ, the coins are lost. There is not one line about where to report it afterwards or how to get it back. So this is not a problem you fix later but one you prevent before sending. With an address you are using for the first time, send a small amount first, confirm it arrived, and then send the rest.
  • Even if you start on a computer, you will need a phone in the end That is because face verification only works in the app. On iPhone you get it straight from the App Store, but on Android the Google Play address given by the official source does not open, so there is one more step of downloading an APK file. A QR code that appears while you do Level 2 on the web expires while you wait, so if you use Android, install the app first and then start. When you download the file, use the checksum shown on the same screen to check that the file has not been altered.
  • Decide what an API key is for before you create it A newly created key starts read-only. If you only want to receive prices, leaving the permissions off is less risky. Turn permissions on only when you will place orders, and when you do, specify the IP address that will connect as well. You can create up to ten keys, so rather than piling everything onto one, split them by purpose; then if one leaks, you only have to delete that key.

Sign up and see for yourself

Once you have signed up and completed identity verification, you can deposit and start trading right away.
